Welcome to the International Online Database of Swedish Vallhund Pedigrees.
 
We invite membership and input in what is hoped to be within a short time, the largest and most comprehensive source of Swedish Vallhund pedigree and genealogy information available on the web.  It has been gathered and provided free, unrestricted and accessible by members.  Membership is free.  This body of information held here in safe keeping for the lovers and breeders of Swedish Vallhunds ~  useful for today, and saved for tomorrow. 
 
At the time of launch 2009, the database contains over 13.700 pedigrees. Currently it contains  15542 Swedish Vallhund pedigrees Our aim and expectation is that with co operation and input from members the comprehensive nature of this information will grow and over time encompass eventually every Swedish Vallhund pedigree.   Because all information has been, and will be, added only once finding information is easy.  Having found the correct Swedish Vallhund, you are able to see this dog's pedigree .  From here you are able to click on any of that dog's parents, grandparents or great grandparents to view their pedigrees.  In this way you may track and trace way all the way back into an individual dog's genealogy. 
 
Because so many pedigrees have been merged into one great database, it is possible to calculate coefficiencies of kinship, relationship and inbreeding of any individual dog accurately.  Such information is extremely useful for breeders and enthusiasts when considering the past breed and planning the future of the breed ahead.
 
To ensure integrity over this database, registered members may add to or alter information pertaining only to dogs they own or have bred.  Any member however may bring to the attention of admin any information that appears to be inaccurate, so that authenticity of detail may be determined and where necessary altered.   All new information submitted will be viewed by admin and if it appears inaccurate may be challenged, so please be very careful when adding dates, registration numbers, spelling and detail.    Where there is discrepancy between two sources we will defer to the breeders knowledge first, backed by what has been registered with the official body of the dogs country of origin.
